Nursing too is usually very much in association with
medicalstudies as it is pretty understandable that a doctor's job is a great
deal of responsibility and accountability. For this reason, the degree of a
doctor has to be well qualified imparting maximum knowledge, skills and
capabilities in order to treat an ill person.
Germany is one of the considerable options for studying
medicine or nursing. Before going into auxiliary details, let's first discuss
the basic requirements that should be met to study medical sciences in Germany.
First of all, a degree of Abitur or equivalent to it is required especially for
the students of foreign countries. Plus certain grades are required from the
Stiftung fur Hochschulzulassung. Also, for getting a seat into the universities
of Germany one has to appear for a test called Medizinterest that is taken to
check the ability of an applicant and to further evaluate the applicant's
interest and abilities to study human physiology.
Besides this, the medical study in Germany is mainly divided
into two parts: Pre-Clinical part in which the student has to go for a nursing
programme which is a bit similar to the regular internship. This is done
basically to impart a slight experience and practical knowledge about the
subject. The second part is about taking of exams and clearing them
satisfactorily in order to prove their competence in medicine.
A very important point to note here is that one has to take
at least a four month traineeship program before enrolling himself for the
second part for the reason that the second part itself requires a lot of
screening of students through oral and written tests. The exam at the end of
the second part holds the utmost importance for the fact that clearing it,
yields credits. These credits are vital for taking admission in the last
practical year that includes 16 weeks of training in surgery, internal medicine
and other specialization etc.
Last but not the least, foreign students coming to Germany
for their medical or any other studies must have a good knowledge of the German
language. This can help them grab as many opportunities as they can. It
additionally helps in writing certain state evaluation programs. Worthy to
mention that the degree of medicine or nursing acquired in Germany is very well
approved and accepted by various countries of Europe. Studying in Germany can
definitely become a boon for your career!
